~Perfecting the Art~
Feathercraft awoke with a start, deep royal blue optics flashing open. For some reason her heart was doing a tap dance in her chest and a cold sweat enveloped her body, making her fur slick an oily.
Raising her head she looked around cautiously, still feeling light and groggy from sleep. She gave her head a furious shake, trying to clear the fog that had settled over her mind.
Rising slowly she stumbled around for a bit, making sure everything was in order. After doing that she sat down and frowned deeply, leaning down she began to groom herself, she at least had to make herself pesentable.
Giving a stiff yawn she suddenly found herself very bored. Everything was alright so she really had no reasons for not going out into the forest and enjoying herself. Besides, she needed to clear her head anyway.
Stiffling another yawn and taking a long luxurious stretch she padded out of the den to go and fine something to preoccupy herself with.

Feathercraft returned, muscles stiff from that little bout with the fox. But her main concerns were far from herself, she was more worried about how Lightningpaw's wound would heal. She had been hoping that it wouldn't get infected, because that would only spell trouble for the young apprentice.
She frowned deeply and plopped down on her nice mossy nest, glad that she could finally unwind. Flexing her claws she felt her muscles strain under her skin as she stretched and yawned. She began to wonder what everyone else in ShadowClan was up to, hopefully not something sinister.
She cracked a grin at herself, she was probably the least tempermental she-cat in the whole of ShadowClan. She was much more even tempered than most of the brutes and vixes anyway. She gave herself a shrug then gazed around. Jeez, you would think it would be just a bit livlier around here.

Lightingpaw padded in with a squirrel in her jaws. She dropped the squirrel at Feathercraft's paws. Her ear twitched."Do I have to stay here tonight?"she meowed. Her midnight eyes showed nothing. She pawed the ground while waiting for an answer.

Feathercraft almost jumped in surprise as the squirrel was dropped at her feet. Ears flattening a bit from being startled she turned to Lightningpaw.
Giving a stiff sigh she stood and walked around to examine Lightningpaw's flank. It didn't look too bad, and it didn't seem to show signs of possible infection.
She rose her head and shook it lightly with a smile
"Not if you don't want to, it seems fine. And thanks for the Squirrel." She mewed, giving the young apprentice an affectionate flick on the shoulder with her tail. She then turned and sat down, bending her head she ate her meal quickly, licking her chops free of blood and bits of entrails she pushed the bones and skin away to discard later.
