A brown tabby tom with a white chest paws sat by the Thunderpath. A monster zoomed by. The tom heaved a sigh. He closed his eyes for a minute then opened them. I should just wait for a monster to kill me in the middle of the Thunderpath, the tom thought. He slowly made his way to the middle of the Thunderpath.

The tom looked at Tigerstripes. "Your the new deputy, aren't you?" he meowed, avoiding Tigerstripes's question. The tom's eyes flickered back to the Thunderpath.

Tigerstripes searched the toms eyes.Her tail stopped twitching.Her tan and black striped pelt layed falt and cailm."Yes I am the deputy.But you still haven't answered my question."she meowed.

The tom sighed. "I was gonna. . . . . . . .nevermind," He padded over to Tigerstripes. "By the way, I'm Mosquitoscratch. And I didn't do what most cats think I did," he meowed seriuosly.

Mosquitoscratch sat down and curled his tail around him. "I geuss I can tell you," he meowed, "Well a moon or two ago I was at the edge of the territory chasing a mouse. I killed it before it crossed the border to ShadowClan. I didn't now that Dragonflight, a ShadowClan cat that dosen't like me much, was watching. And at the next Gathering she told Silverstar that I caught a ShadowClan mouse. And then no believed me when I said that it was on the edge of the territory, so now I'm accused of it." Mosquitoscratch sighed, and looked into Tigerstripes eyes.

Tigerstripes looked around the terratory.A monster speed past on the thunderpath causeing her pelt to ruffle up.She crouched low as her eyes filled with fear.She wanted to get farther away from the hard black panther the monsters traveled on.

Tigerstripes nodded.She dashed about 3 tail lenghts away.She stopped and waited for Mosquitoscratch.She sank her claws into the ground and looked ahead.Then back at Mosquitoscratch.

Mosquitoscratch followed Tigerstripes. He hissed as a big six-pawed monster stoped and headed toward the cats. Mosquitoscratch hissed louder.
